PENANG

My family and I went Penang for Christmas yesterday.

We went up Penang Hill first thing we reached.

How?...by train of course.

(Waiting for the train)

(The train)

It was jam packed in the train. See?

Despite the "sandwich" situation, my sister and I
was just too busy taking pictures to care about it.

Then out of the blue, my recent favorite song came on the radio.

So...

Sorry I was holding the camera side way.
The song was "Womanizer".

Anyway, back to picture-taking.

10 minutes later,

What do we do when we reached?
Take more pictures of course.

(My sister and I)

(Me)

(5 of us)

(Mum and Dad)

Erm...looking out..?

There was a Indian Temple on top of the hill.

(My brother and I)

So, we went in to pray and the Indian monk rub some
white-powder onto my forehead.

I'm not sure what the powder means.

Then, there is a playground next to the Indian Temple.

My brother wanted to show how strong is he. Right~~

There is an ancient Penang Hill train and a canon too.

(The ancient train)

(The Canon)

After 2 hours walking we were exhausted, so down we went.

My family went back to the hotel to chill while
I went to Gurney Plaza to meet up with my college mates.

We grab lunch at Nando's and chat for an hour plus.

(From left : Michael, Jun Lin and Chee Yuan)

(From left : Yang Zet, Khai Xiong and Zicky)

Then off to the movies.

Khai Xiong suggested "Yes Man" but since Gaik Si watched it
already, so we changed to
"The day the earth stood still" instead.

It took so long for the movie to start, so why not take some pictures?

(From left : Yang Zet, Chee Yuan and I)

(Gaik Si and I)

The show was just a so-so movie.
(Gaik Si almost fall asleep)

I would rate the movie at 3 out of a 10th scale
but since Keanu Reeves is in the movie, I'll give it a 5 then..haha.

(Keanu Reeves)

Everybody left after the movie.

Now, I'm missing them already.
Hope to see yal real soon ! =)

DONE

I've decided to stop placing COLORED words on my post.

It seems nice and joyful, but it's quite troublesome.

So from now on my words will be in black and white.

(I'll add a touch of color to it maybe)

BATHTIME

Damien's first bath !

(Damien)

Shampoo needs to be diluted first.
(1 part shampoo : 32 part water)

Apply diluted shampoo.

Bath him.

Rinse and repeat.

Then wipe him dry,

but he prefers to dry himself his style.

Then blow him to ensure his coat is fully dried,

comb his hair,

and wha-la. He is done !

(Pretty good looking huh?)

SORROW

This adorable dog here is Leo.

I got to know that he just died.

He went through deep agony before he died.
His nose kept bleeding and bleeding until he dies.

The vet said he MIGHT be poisoned.

??

MIGHT ??

No matter what, he is only 2 months old and
he has done nothing to deserve this.

I miss him. =(

DECIDED

POOCH

I'm gonna get a dog !!

There are just too many breeds,
so I've short-listed them to the ones I like.

My priority, a Cairn Terrier.

My main concern is that this breed is very
difficult to find.

Then, a Miniature Schnauzer.

Its smart and easy to train.

Next on the list, a Welsh Corgi.

Ain't it the cutest dog you ever laid eyes on?

Last but not least, a West Highland Terrier.

Its white and shiny.

Have you heard, people says that the dog and
the owner looks alike.

Anyway, its too mind-bogging to choose.
So, I have decided asked for my friend's opinion.
He suggested a Yorkshire Terrier.
Erm...erm...erm....

Do we have any resemblance??

(A Yorkie and I)

You know, the hair does.......
Nah..I don't think so.

Anyhow, on with the pondering for now...

PONDERING

I dedicate this post to my confused friend, Yang Zet.

Long explanation short.

The difference between Melaka Manipal Medical College (MMMC)
and International Medical University (IMU).

Obviously I'm on IMU's side, and
I know that you wanted IMU real badly too,
it's only that you 身不由己 (shēnbùyóujǐ) only.

Plus if you look at the RM30,000 from
the way I told you, you won't feel so bad.

For the sake of your future,
look at it from every perspective and then only you decide.

Even if you really went for MMMC, how you wanna
study happily since you don't like it there?

Medical you know?..you know?
It ain't that easy.

How you gonna score well if so?

Try considering what I said about the RM 30K.

HAT YAI TRIP

I think this is the longest post I've written
so far.

DAY 1

We started our journey at around 2 something
in the afternoon.

(Me)

Off we went.

90 minutes later..we were only half way there.

On the way..

You see the green-grass-looking-part?
It's call the rice bowl of Malaysia or something like that..

35 minutes drive later, you can still see the ''bowl''.

After a looooooong 330++ Km drive, we finally reached.

(Hotel Golden Crown Plaza)

We checked in, place our luggage and freshen up.
What's next??

When you are in Hat Yai, of course...

SHOPPING !!

but first, must get $$$$$ from daddy ..

Shopping = need energy = EAT !!

On the very day we arrived, it was actually
the King of Thailand's birthday.

There were fireworks, singing, etc etc.

Too bad I missed the singing part,
I was too busy indulging these...

(Oyster)

These..

(Fish, noodle and kangkung)

and certainly......none of these..

(Tom Yam soup)

Next on the list, attack Central (Hat Yai shopping mall)..

We shop till around 12 something, then back
to the hotel to recharge.

Day 2

Breakfast time..

Erm...Bak Kut Teh (肉骨茶) ??

So many bowls...
It's just morning..how to eat something so heavy?

Errrr...well, I take that back..
Seems like we can finish it.

Never mind that, we need to get to the market
to shop and fast !

How, you ask?

By "Tut Tut" of course.

a WHAT ??

A Tut Tut. Cute huh?

(A Tut Tut)

Don't ask. I don't know why is it named so.

(The Market)

Wrong.
They don't sell fishes, vegetables and meats.

What do they offer then?

All kinds of bags like handbags, luggage bags,
school bags, doggy bags and plastic bags.

More handbags...

Tons of shoes !

Suddenly !!

I saw THIS

One of my friends asked me to get her a white tiger
as a souvenir but I think this is
way~~ better.

It contains a WOW factor don't you think?

Next, what's on the menu for lunch??

(Fried Oyster)

(Crabs)

And the main dish.....

(Shark Fin Soup)

What's that on my chopstick, you ask?

It's.....

(Shark Fin)

After lunch, back to more shopping.

You sure it's jeans??

Take a good look.

It's actually leggings.

3-4 hours of shopping, time for a snack.

Pulut Durian.

Fried Chicken.

Pigeon.

Then back to the hotel for a rest.
Boy, both my legs were aching like...like...like...
like something which aches real bad.

The clock strikes 8 and it reach devour time.

(Dinner - Suckling Pig)

1. Suckling Pig
2. Cucumber
3. Spring Onion
4. Sweet sauce
5. Bun

The other dishes are not important.

Here is how you eat the suckling pig.

First, you take a piece of the suckling pig,
add a bit of sweet sauce on it and
put a stick of cucumber on it.

You can either eat it with the bun or the spring onion.

(How it looks like)

After dinner, continue with the shopping
for 2 hours plus and then end of day 2.

Day 3

Wake up around 9 something, go for breakfast,
pack our stuff and time to head back home.

We only bought a few stuff like

Chocolates.

Nuts.

Mangoes.

Longans.

Boxers-looking-shorts.

T-shirts.

Key chains.

Souvenirs.

plus some other things and yet the car looks packed.

On our way back, we drop by Nibong Tebal for lunch.

There is this restaurant in Nibong Tebal which is very famous for
their crab porridge. It opens at 1p.m and closes at 3 p.m.

How famous? This famous.

I spotted this in their premises.

I might be wrong, but I thought it is suppose to be
Amra instead of Ambula.

Now, for the meal,

Boiled octopus.

Spring Rolls.

Clams.

Most importantly,

the Crab Porridge !!

After a 45 minutes drive, we finally reached home.

Every good vacation will certainly ends with a....
