GOING HOME

My sister showed this video to me the other day.

(I don't own this video, as usual, found it on youtube)

Its quite a meaningful clip actually.

About Alzheimer's Disease.
One agonizing disease if you ask me.

Though, I don't think that you would feel that it's a
big deal or feel sad unless you experienced it yourself.
(hopefully not)

Actually, I never thought that I would
have the courage to talk about this.

My grandma..um..pass away due to Dementia last year.

It was on the eve of my A-Levels examination.
Chemistry paper was on the next day.
Sigh..

Anyhow, here is how Dementia progresses.

First, the patient will suffer from short term memory loss.
They still remember what happened ages ago..
..just don't remember what happened recently.

Then, they start imagining things like someone
want to hurt them or steal something from them.

Later, they look at the mirror and start talking to themselves.

You might think it is funny but its seriously NOT.

After that, they start to forget the ones they know.

Just like in the video.
Darn, I miss my grandma so so much.

Then, they start to lose control of their...erm...well..
body function I guess, like

- Muscle coordination (Ataxia)
- Involuntary movement like jerking
- Unable to speak properly
- Cant walk

Later, their muscle start to atrophy.
Thus, looking like skeleton with skin and hair..

but hey..the disease doesn't just ends there..
..it gets worse !!

- Cant pass motion
- Lose their eye sight
- Cant eat or drink
- Bruises easily
- Skin peals

and eventually they die because they cant
control their breathing no more.

My grandma,
she suffered for 12 years before she passed away last year.

12 freaking YEARS !!
No one should ever deserve this.

But I'm glad you know,
she's gone to a better place now.

So, please..please..please..
appreciate your love ones before its too late.

M209 ORIENTATION : CHECKMATE

Sigh..holiday is here and I'm back home.
YAY!!
but yet still gotta study~

Life...sigh...

Okay, let's not talk about the boring topic.

I'm here to tell yal about M209's orientation.

My friends and I were the OOs for Group 1.

Meet H1N1 !!

(Outdoor Treasure Hunt)

Although our group isn't the champ, but
we had a blast.

Well, I think we had a blast..at least I did.

The juniors were scared sh*tless of me.

==''

So, out of curiosity,
I asked the juniors for their first impression of me.

I must admit, I kinda expected their answer.

93.4% - Scary/fierce/strict.
4.9% - Cool.
1.7 % - Cold-blooded.

Cold-blooded ??
WTH ?!!??

Gosh !!
I'm not as scary/fierce as I look alright.

Well, I am maybe but at least not til that extend.

Anyhow, I didn't take as many
pictures as my own orientation.

Too busy being their nanny, carrying their stuff and all.

So here is all I got.

This is from Dress Code Night.

Theme : Lord Of The Rings.

Telematch.

Theme : India.

Kelvin totally adores this picture below.
Ask him why...
Lolz..

At Dance Club's station (if I'm not mistaken).

At IM's station.

At ISOW's station.

(DaiDai, Me and Jeffrey)

Overall, the orientation was not bad.
Not bad indeed.

Here, I wanna thank Kelvin Ng.
He was there for the juniors all the time.
Kelvin, you are the best !!..

and to those unofficial OOs, Michael and Felix.
Thanks !!

Oh yea, and to my other OOs too.

XD
